Therefore, y=(9 / -1) = -9

Step 2:
Replace the value y = -9 in any of the equations.
Substitute the value of y in the 1st equation, (2)x + (7)y = 3

2x + (7)*(-9) = 3
2x + (-63) = 3
(2)x = 3 - (-63)
(2)x = 66
x = 33

It follows the solution (x,y) = (33,-9)
